Oscar the Grouchy Waiter
A friend and I stopped by our local Denny's. Upon our arrival, we were greeted by our waiter, Oscar. Oscar is no stranger to me, as we happen to frequent that particular Denny's fairly often. When I realized what was happening, I groaned inwardly. Oscar is the rudest and most incompetent, slow-witted waiter I've ever had to deal with on multiple occasions. The first time I encountered him, he tried to pretend that there weren't free refills on the cappuccinos even though the menu explicitly said so. Then, he continually ignored our table. And to top it all off, he proceeded to overcharge us on our tab. So what did Oscar do on this most recent occasion to piss me off? My friend ordered waffles. Oscar brought the plate over with a cup of syrup on the edge. My friend asked Oscar if he could have some strawberries on the waffles, and Oscar acquiesced and took the plate back to the kitchen. Upon his return, the strawberries were there, but the cup of syrup had disappeared. So my friend asked Oscar for the syrup, to which the cretin responded, "You want syrup too?", his voice dripping with attitude. Not to mention the fact that I had to ask the idiot for ranch dressing three fucking times. Thousands out of work, and Oscar somehow keeps his job. What is the world coming to? Of course, the problem could be solved by just avoiding that particular shithole. But I think the funner solution would be to give Oscar a makeshift tracheotomy with a rusty pipe.
