My dear and esteemed readers:
As you know, a few months ago, my blogdom came to a most unfortunate end. I had no idea if, and when, I would start back up. A tragic turn of events caused both my blog and me to be thrust into a most unpleasant spotlight of persecution. The subsequent attacks on my thoughts came to a head one Tuesday evening when I was confronted and forced to put an end to my rhetoric. After months of silence, I will now divulge the horrific events that led up to the self-destruction of my blog, The Stinky Cheese Man.
My blog has always been nothing more than an outlet for me to rant and rave about my frustrations. However, I was quite naïve in my belief that all those stumbling upon and reading my blog would understand. Many of my friends do not even understand me and the inner workings of my troubled mind, so why should I have believed that total strangers would? One Tuesday night last October, it was brought to my attention that a subject of one of my entries had read my blog and had brought pages of it as evidence to my superior. I was, needless to say, shocked. For one, I never discussed my blog with outside parties and couldn’t imagine how easily it could fall into the wrong hands. And secondly, the entry that came under attack was nothing more than a ridiculous and hyperbolic scenario, a fable as I called it. No person of a normal and rational state of mind could have taken it seriously. After my meeting with my superior, I had a chance to think things over and figure out what went wrong. I realized that I had let my guard down. Although usually quite meticulous, I had left an obvious paper trail. More specifically, I had used names. In these days of Google and other search engines, no webpage is safe from intense scrutiny. Because of my obscene lack of judgment, I accepted full responsibility for my actions and still do. If I had exercised better judgment, I probably would not have come under attack. Although blogs are in a sense personal diaries, the complexity of the Internet and new technology creates a gray area in the realm of public and private domain. Because there are no clear-cut rules yet, one must exercise even more caution when creating a webpage. I harbor no ill feelings about what happened even though it’s obvious that the subject of my hyperbolic fable obviously ratted me out for the sole purpose of punishing me. She could have much more easily come to me to discuss her concerns rather than bringing it to the attention of our superior. Of course, she hid behind the excuse that she felt threatened, but as I stated earlier, no person of rational mind could have taken the entry as a serious indicator of my future actions. In the future, I suggest that if you have a problem with someone, you speak directly to that person instead of tattling on them like a five-year-old. That is all.
So, what does this all mean for the future of my blog? Well, I am making some changes. More specifically, I am keeping The Stinky Cheese Man and am moving it back to its original URL. Why should I have to hide because of a few snitches who can't handle the truth? Throughout history, many great minds have been stifled and persecuted for speaking the truth and going against the accepted social order of things. Well, this is twenty-first century America, and I WILL exercise my freedom of speech. It is my duty as a human being and an American. I will continue to bring the truth to my fellow readers, without fear of harassment or intimidation. My blog is not about threats but has always been a forum for uncensored lambasting and invective, and nothing will ever change that. To my loyal readers, I thank you so much for your continued support. And to the individual who caused the upheaval of my creative processes, SUCK MY ASS!
The Stinky Cheese Man
Back with a vengeance... *Disclaimer -- If you're reading this and don't know me, you shouldn't be here. But you are, so for all you mentally challenged morons...the contents of this blog should not be taken seriously as this blog is just a collection of stupid bullshit that goes through my mind on a daily basis. It is a safe space for me to vent my daily frustrations, and absolutely no harm is intended. You have been warned.
